The 12-week study was performed 36 times for students with autism who never participated in psychomotorik program and took a special exercise class at J Children Development Center in Seoul, composed of 12 junior high school students (7 in the experimental, 7 in the control group). The study shows that there were not any differences in the cognitive performance abilities between the experimental and the control group. However, physical performance abilities were more enhanced in the experimental group than in the control. In addition, the total motor performance abilities, combined cognitive abilities and physical abilities, were more enhanced in the experimental group than in the control. The result of this study shows that the psychomotor program gave a positive impact on the motor performance abilities of students with autism and the psychomotor program was proved as a objective method to enhance abilities of motor performance for students with autism.
